In November 2019, Genesis announced – the establishment of, and partnership with, a marae-owned entity called POU Limited, to undertake contracted facilities maintenance activities at Huntly Power Station. 

In recognition of the enduring partnership between Waahi Paa, Te Kauri, Kaitumutumu, Te Ohaaki, Taupiri, Matahuru Marae, Waahi Whaanui Trust, Matawhaanui Board (as a representative of the collective marae) and Genesis, discussions were entered into and led to the establishment of POU Limited, a company focused on providing quality facilities management services, through the employment of the local people. This activates social benefit in a meaningful way in support of the community of Rāhui Pōkeka (Huntly).
